Methodist University and Cape Fear Valley Health are pleased to announce a new partnership to establish the state-of-the-art Methodist University medical school that will train the next generation of healthcare professionals. The new medical school, to be located on the campus of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, will combine the expertise and resources of both institutions to provide students with unparalleled educational and clinical experiences.
Cape Fear Valley Health has broken ground on a three-story, 70,000-square-foot Medical Arts Complex on the campus of Central Harnett Hospital, which will be anchored by a new Cancer Center.
The new 17,000-square-foot Cancer Center will offer the full spectrum of cancer care, including radiation oncology services.
Tentative plans for the facility also include specialists such as: Orthopedics; Ear, Nose & Throat; Surgical Clinic; Neurology; Cardiology; and Rheumatology.

Our unit is small and close-knit; colleagues become like family. Our team includes 1st assist, residents, APPs nurses and surg techs. Successful candidates for Cardiac OR positions will have a minimum of 1 year of OR experience before applying. We will also accept RNs with experience in Vascular/Heart and Main OR
- We have two Operating Rooms plus a hybrid OR. Our CSOR unit works hand and hand with CSICU.
- CSOR RNs perform vascular and cardiovascular procedures, including CABGs, bowel replacements and TAVRs.
- CSOR RNs work four 10-hour shifts each week and are On Call every 3-4 days.
- On Call rate is $4/hr
- Call Back rate (if you leave and get called back in) is $15/hr
Successful candidates for Cardiac OR positions will have a minimum of 1 year of OR experience before applying. We will also accept RNs with experience in Vascular/Heart and Main OR.
